The term User Intent is also known as “Search Intent” or “Query Intent” which means what a user looking for query through a search engine.Knowing only the keywords what people are searching for is not enough?

What is more important is why or what they intent to search or view. What exactly we need to know is “Search Intent” Are the people are looking for some kind of information? Are they wanted to buy anything? Maybe do they need to know about something? Let see how to identify the search intent for a user.

What are the types of User Intent?

There are four types of search intent

 

Informational Intent:

When people are searching for some kind of information or whether to know about the product, service. The intention of user is to find and learn about certain topic what they are looking for. This is we call as “Informational Intent”

How to find SEO Company in KL?

Where do I get best PPC in KL?

Navigational Intent:

          When the user wants to find a specific topic or page or site. The thing is already user know where they want to go just need help from SERP to navigate how to go or navigate the direction for their search.

For example, User wants to search something (SEO) in YouTube. In SERP they type YouTube instead of the URL of the YouTube. This is how we navigate or direct the user.

Transactional Intent:

 When the user wants to buy something, but still they are looking for the best or right place to purchase. Many people purchase through online and browse to find out the right place to get the product.

So the user searching with transactional intent when their purpose is to buy something at that moment. So they already know exactly what they need to purchase and just want to get only the product page. Here are some examples of transactional intent,

“Buy,” “coupon,” “discount,” and “shipping” — are ready to make a buy

 Commercial Intent:

These type of users they know what to buy but still they haven’t made any decision or may be for the future. Still looking for the brand or which is helpful? How about the offers? Lot of questions for their purchasing.

Necessity for Search Intent:

a) Keyword evaluation-Rank on Google:

  Keywords always play a vital role when it comes to ranking; make sure to give important to the keywords with high search volume and low difficulty. Plan to choose your keywords according to your content about your service or product.

Irrelevant content will always make your ranking low in Google result. Finding keywords are very easy and the hard part is ranking those keywords. Choose the keywords what the users are intended to search through search engine.

b) Choose competitors:

 Whatever you do the content should be relevant to your site. If you are searching for competitors beyond your topic is not a right thing to do.

For ex: If your searching related to “Digital Marketing training in Malaysia” or “search engine optimization” choose the competitors in that base.

Always find the competitor with your relevant keyword once that keywords matches with your service just compare their ranking what keywords they ranking for? Remember Google has different sets of rules for different search intents.

c) Expect to satisfy the audience:

 It’s all about audience. And what exactly they are looking for? What are the things they need to search in Google?  Are we satisfying the customers need? Which questions they want the answer? What they expect to see?

So all these related to search intent, we need to know how the users are searching and what they expect to know to satisfy the audience.

This will build your credibility in the eyes of an audience.
